Join us on November 19, 2026 at the SickKids Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning (686 Bay St., Toronto) for a full day dedicated to the science of biological imaging, spanning scales from whole organisms to single molecules.

The SickKids Imaging Symposium will bring together researchers, trainees, staff, and technology developers to explore how advanced imaging technologies are transforming our understanding of development, disease, and cellular function. The program will feature presentations from internationally recognized leaders alongside imaging-enabled discoveries from the SickKids research community.

The day will be organized into four thematic sessions that highlight how imaging provides insight across biological scales:

  • Model Organisms – Visualizing biological processes in living organisms and developmental systems
  • Tissues – Understanding tissue architecture, organization, and function in health and disease
  • Cells – Exploring cellular dynamics, behaviour, and interactions at high resolution
  • Molecules – Revealing molecular mechanisms and nanoscale biology through advanced imaging approaches

 What to expect:

  • Scientific talks from leading experts in microscopy and imaging-enabled discovery
  • Opportunities to connect with researchers and trainees from across the imaging community
  • Discussions that foster collaboration across disciplines and research areas
  • Insights into emerging imaging technologies, quantitative analysis, and biological discovery

Whether you are an imaging specialist or simply interested in how visualization technologies are advancing biomedical research, this symposium offers an opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired.

Registration is now open. Secure your spot today and join the conversation shaping the future of imaging at SickKids.
